National Day of Prayer — LIVE!
One year before the United States became a nation, the Continental Congress asked the colonies to ask God for wisdom in forming their new government. Since then, prayer has been a part of our heritage. Almost 200 years later, Billy Graham called on President Harry Truman and Congress in 1952 to establish a nationally observed day of prayer. The legislation was signed later that year and on Thursday, May 4, we celebrate the 71-year anniversary of the National Day of Prayer. May God continue to bless America!
This live-streaming event will take place on May 4, at 8:00 p.m. eastern.
