In this week's episode of Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom with Gary Bauer, Senior Vice President of Public Policy at the James Dobson Family Institute, Bauer defines our current situation in America as a non-shooting, two-sided civil war—a disagreement over America's founding and what it stands for. Bauer believes one side understands that America, as founded, was built on ordered liberty under God. These same folks were taught in school that the Founders knew that only virtuous people could remain free. According to Bauer, the other side (mostly made up of an elite ruling class) believes that America is simply a place where one can do whatever he or she wants to do. Bauer says that for this view to be tenable, it requires the formation of an all-powerful, enormous government to enforce its will on the people. Sadly, the result of this type of governance is always tyranny. To hear more, please listen to Bauer's informative podcast.
