Actor, author, and pro-family advocate Kirk Cameron says freedom in America has its roots in the Bible. These freedoms are based on the ancient Hebrew republic—before the kings, in old covenant Israel. This required the Israeli people to make a covenant with God and a promise to one another to obey His laws from their hearts. When they did this, the Lord allowed them to govern themselves through the election of their leaders, and He richly blessed them and their land.
