Today, Family Talk's co-host Dr. Tim Clinton, sits down with Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins and his father Don Cousins. Don shares about his sons early life, and his passion for the game of football. Kirk shares how his faith has influenced his career from high school up to his present career in the NFL.

Kirk and Don Cousins

Kirk Cousins is a quarterback with the Minnesota Vikings. He is considered one of the most successful quarterbacks in Michigan State University history, holding MSU records for passing yards, touchdowns, completions and more. Kirk was named Academic All-Big Ten four years in a row. In 2012, Kirk was drafted by the Washington Redskins. The son of Don and MaryAnn Cousins, Kirk grew up in Holland, Michigan, with his siblings, Kyle and Karalyne. Kirk and his wife Julie were married in 2014 and welcomed their first child, Cooper, into the world in 2017. Don Cousins is Founder and President of Team Development, Inc. and is the is Lead Pastor and Director of Ministries at Discovery Church in Orlando, Florida. He is co-author of the Walking with God series for small groups. He is also the author of Unexplainable, Experiencing Leadershift, and Follow Me! He spent his first 17 years on the staff at Willow Creek Community Church, and left the staff in the fall of 1992. His ministry is now expressed through teaching, writing, consulting and coaching. Don resides in Holland, Michigan, with his wife, MaryAnn, and their three children.
