That's the contention of the late Chuck Colson, former Special Counsel to President Richard Nixon and founder of Prison Fellowship. He learned that whether we are serving our spouse and children, those in the workplace or in our church, our service has the potential to communicate the love of Christ.

Chuck Colson

Chuck Colson is the late founder of the Prison Fellowship Ministry (PFM), Prison Fellowship International (PFI) and The Colson Center for Christian Worldview. He was a best-selling author of many books, an international speaker, a syndicated columnist and commentator on his radio program, BreakPoint. Colson received his bachelor’s degree with honors in history from Brown University, and completed his Juris Doctor with honors at George Washington University Law School. He was sent to prison in 1974 for his involvement in the Watergate scandal under President Richard Nixon. During the trial, Colson became a born-again Christian. After serving 7 months, he started Prison Fellowship as a way to minister to the incarcerated. During his lifetime, Colson held 15 honorary doctorates, and was awarded the prestigious Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion in 1993. He died in 2012 at the age of 80.
