Pastor Frank Pomeroy is the Pastor of First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs in Texas, formerly serving as a Youth Leader, Deacon Chair, and Adult Sunday School Teacher. He is currently still the Pastor there, ministering to the church and community after the tragedy on November 5, 2017, that claimed the lives of 26, including his 14-year-old daughter. Frank went back to school in 2012, at the age of 46, and finished with a Bachelors degree from Texas State in 2016. Frank, along with his wife of 32 years, Sherri, raised 4 biological children, 2 adopted children and now have 6 grandchildren. Sherri Pomeroy is the wife of Frank Pomeroy, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs. She served as a Vacation Bible School Regional Director for the state of Texas for many years and has been involved in the field of pediatric nutrition in the public-school system. Sherri was also instrumental in starting a food pantry in 2003 that is still serving the residents of Wilson County. Along with helping children through Foster Care, the Pomeroys raised 4 biological children, and 2 adopted children. They now have 6 grandchildren from 2-11 years old. David Colbath is a builder and mechanic in Sutherland Springs, Texas and is a survivor of the shooting at First Baptist Church on November 5. He was shot 8 times in the side, back, both ankles and arm. David has had multiple surgeries and is receiving therapy at the Center for the Intrepid at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He rehabs alongside wounded warriors and is teaching himself how to shoot again after the injuries he suffered. He has two children: Morgan and Olivia.
