Dr. Gene Getz

Gene Getz is president of the Center for Church Renewal and the host of Bible Principles, a daily radio program. He also serves as pastor emeritus at Chase Oaks Church in Plano, Texas. Gene successfully integrated the philosophy of renewal into a local church setting. He is best known for his 1974 book, Sharpening the Focus of the Church, which examines the church through the perspective of Scripture, history, and culture. This book led to his launching of the original Fellowship Bible Church, which resulted in a movement that continues today in the form of hundreds of Fellowship churches and “Fellowship-type churches” around the world. A popular and prolific author, Dr. Getz has written over 60 books, including The Measure of a Man, and Building Up One Another.
