Dr. William Bennett

Dr. William Bennett is an author, speaker and American conservative politician who served as Secretary of Education from 1985-1988 under President Ronald Reagan. From 1989-1990, he held the post of Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy under President George H.W. Bush. Beginning in 2004, Dr. Bennett hosted Morning in America, a syndicated conservative radio program. In 2008, he became the host of CNN's weekly talk show, Beyond the Politics; and in 2017 launched his podcast, The Bill Bennett Show. Dr. Bennett writes for National Review Online and Commentary, and was previously senior editor of National Review magazine. He is the author of The Book of Virtues, Our Sacred Honor, and Tried by Fire, among others. Dr. Bennett and his wife, Elayne, have two grown sons.
