Kim Meeder is the co-founder and ranch chief communications officer of Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch (CPYR), located in the foothills of the Cascade mountains near Bend, Oregon. Kim became an orphan at the age of nine as the result of tragic circumstances. Raised by her grandmother, she developed a love for horses and their ability to provide emotional comfort. It was out of her childhood trauma and her path to recovery that seeds for Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch were planted. Kim and her husband, Troy, started Crystal Peaks in 1995, and they have decades of experience working with abused children and neglected horses.
