Al Janssen is a writer and former teacher. He currently serves as an associate pastor of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Before he held this position, Al was the chief communications officer for Open Doors International, a ministry dedicated to supporting persecuted Christians worldwide. After graduating from Linfield College with a degree in math and education, Al joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ as editor of Athletes in Action magazine. He also worked as the director of communications and publications for Pro Athletes Outreach. Al has authored and co-authored over 32 books, including The Marriage Masterpiece, Secret Believers, and Light Force: The Only Hope for the Middle East. He and his wife, Jo Ann, have three grown children, and make their home in Colorado.
Jo Ann Janssen is the wife of Al Janssen, and mother of three grown children. She previously served as personal assistant to the CCO at Open Doors
International, and worked as a deacon assistant at Village Seven Presbyterian Church.
Kurt Bruner is the founder of Drive Faith Home, a ministry with a mission to create a culture of intentional families. He also serves as chief operations officer for Open Doors International. Kurt is a graduate of Talbot Seminary with a master’s degree in theology, and has worked as an adjunct professor at Dallas Theological Seminary. He is the author and co-author of more than 20 books including Fatherless, It Starts at Home, The Purpose of Passion, and Finding God in the Lord of the Rings. Kurt and his wife, Olivia, have six children, three grandchildren, and make their home in Texas.
Olivia Bruner is the wife of Kurt Bruner, mother of six, and grandmother of three. A former sixth grade teacher, Olivia has spoken to moms about the hectic joys of parenthood. She serves on the Drive Faith Home leadership team, and is co-host of the It Starts Now video curriculum for parents. She is the author and co-author of The Minivan Years: Celebrating the Hectic Joys of Motherhood, How to Mess Up Your Child’s Life: Proven Strategies and Practical Tips, and Family Compass.
