Lt.Col. Oliver North USMC (Ret.) is a decorated U.S. Marine, best-selling author, the founder of Freedom Alliance, an inventor with three U.S. patents, a syndicated columnist, and former host of War Stories on Fox News Channel. Col. North graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, and served 22 years as a Marine officer. His awards for service in combat include the Silver Star, the Bronze Star for valor, and two Purple Hearts. During the Reagan administration, he served on the National Security Council from 1983-1986. Col. North is married to Betsy, and is a father of four and the grandfather of seventeen.
