Kathy Branzell is the president of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, a position she has held since 2019. Previously, she served as the founder and president of an organization known as Fellowship and Christian Encouragement for Educators (FACE), for which she compiled weekly Scripture passages, prayer prompts and devotionals for educators to use in weekly prayer meetings throughout the school year. Kathy is the author and co-author of five books including, An Invitation to Prayer: Developing a Lifestyle of Intimacy with God, Prayer Warrior: the Battle Plan to Victory, and A Prayer Warrior’s Guide to Spiritual Battle. Kathy earned her bachelor’s degree in education and human development from the University of Georgia, and her master’s degree in biblical studies from Liberty Theological Seminary. She and her husband, Russ, have two children and reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
Pastor Sammy Rodriguez is the president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), the world’s largest Hispanic Christian organization. He has been featured on CNN, Fox News, Univision, PBS, Christianity Today, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Rodriguez was the first Latino to deliver the keynote address at the annual “Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Service” at Ebenezer Baptist Church, and is the recipient of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Award, presented by the Congress of Racial Equality. He has spoken before the U.S. Congress to advance immigration and criminal justice reform, as well as religious freedom and pro-life initiatives. In April 2020, Rev. Rodriguez was appointed to the National Coronavirus Recovery Commission. He is executive producer of the film, “Breakthrough,” as well as “Flamin’ Hot,” a soon to be released film in partnership with Franklin Entertainment and 20th Century Fox. Pastor Sam is the author of several books, including his latest release, Your Mess, God’s Miracle. He earned his master’s degree from Lehigh University and received Honorary Doctorates from Northwest University, William Jessup University and Baptist University of the Americas. Sam and his wife, Eva, serve as senior pastors at New Season Church in Sacramento, California, and they have three children and four grandchildren.
