Today on Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson concludes his spirit-filled discussion with Dr. Jerry Kirk, Candy Marballi, and Rick Schatz. They discuss the Children’s Prayer Card they developed, as well as the children’s book entitled, The Power of the Prayer Covenant, which has been translated into many languages and is being distributed in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Dr. Jerry Kirk, Candy Marballi, Rick Schatz

Dr. Jerry Kirk is the founder of the Prayer Covenant, a non-profit organization with a mission to make disciples among the children and youth of the nations. He is also the founder of pureHOPE and Religious Alliance Against Pornography. Dr. Kirk previously served as senior pastor of the College Hill Presbyterian Church for nineteen years. He and his wife, Patty, have five grown children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Candy Marballi is an author, speaker and president emeritus of the Prayer Covenant. She has led various children's ministries for over 30 years in the United States, Japan and the Philippines. Candy is the author of The Power of the Prayer Covenant for Children, and He Hears Her Voice. She and her husband, Vik, have two grown children and make their home in Ohio.

Rick Schatz was chief operating officer of the Prayer Covenant. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati and obtained an MBA from Harvard University. He served as president and CEO of pureHOPE for 14 years, and was also the executive director of the Religious Alliance Against Pornography. Rick went home to be with the Lord in 2021. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, their three grown sons and numerous grandchildren.
