Dr. Gary Smalley and Dr. Scott Stanley

Dr. Gary Smalley was a world-renowned marriage and relationship expert, as well as a highly sought-after speaker. He was the best-selling author of more than 60 books and founded The Smalley Institute, which helps married couples build better relationships. Gary hosted his own syndicated radio show, Smalley LIVE!, and regularly appeared on many national television and radio programs. He helped thousands of couples through his books, films and conferences. Gary and his wife, Norma, were married for 52 years. Mr. Smalley passed away in 2016, but his work and legacy continue to live on through his three children and eight grandchildren.

Dr. Scott Stanley is a research professor and co-director of the Center for Marital and Family Studies at the University of Denver. Along with other colleagues, he has been involved in the research, development, and refinement of the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP) for over 30 years. Stanley has authored various books including Fighting for Your Marriage, The Power of Commitment, and A Lasting Promise. He is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary and received his Ph.D. from the University of Denver.
