Penny Young Nance

Penny Young Nance is the CEO and president of Concerned Women for America (CWA). She also serves as president of Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC), serving as the principal spokesperson for both entities. As the CEO and president of the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization, Penny leads more than 500,000 CWA members across the country, along with over 400 prayer/action chapters, and over 130 Young Women for America (YWA) presidents and ambassadors. She has been featured in numerous publications, including the New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and serves as a senior advisor to the Christian Post. Prior to CWA, she served as special advisor for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), where she advised the chairman and the commissioners on media and social issues. Her key responsibilities centered on the protection of children, including broadcast indecency and the media task force on childhood obesity. Before joining the FCC, Penny was founder and president of the Kids First Coalition, a non-profit organization focusing on educating Capitol Hill, the media, and the public on a variety of issues related to children. Penny resides in Virginia with her husband, Will, and their two children. Penny is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she currently serves on the Board of Trustees.
