Chuck Colson

Charles Chuck Colson is the late Founder of the Prison Fellowship Ministry (PFM), Prison Fellowship International (PFI) and The Colson Center for Christian Worldview. He was also a best-selling author of many books, an international speaker, syndicated columnist and radio commentator on his show, BreakPoint. Colson finished his Bachelors Degree with honors in History from Brown University, and then completed his Juris Doctor with honors at George Washington University Law School. He went to prison in 1974 for his involvement in the Watergate Scandal under President Richard Nixon. During the trial, Colson became a born-again Christian. After 7 months in prison, he started Prison Fellowship as a way to minister to the incarcerated. Colson held 15 honorary doctorates, and was awarded the prestigious Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion in 1993. He died in 2012 at the age of 80.
