Ever since the bad law known as Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court, the current administration has wanted to codify the right to an abortion that would allow this shameful act from conception through birth and perhaps beyond. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Janet Porter, founder of Faith2Action, quotes Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He said, “Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act. God will not hold us guiltless if we are silent in this hour.” The people of God need to rise up in defense of the unborn.

Janet Porter

Janet Porter is the founder of Faith2Action and the architect of the pro-life Heartbeat Bill, which ensures that "if a heartbeat is detected, the baby is protected." Heartbeat bills have been introduced in 30 states and have been passed by 14 of them. Ms. Porter chronicled her decade-long battle to save babies in her book, A Heartbeat Away. She played a role in amplifying the pro-life message during a decades long fight against the pro-abortion industry. Her efforts were vital in expanding public awareness of God’s design for the beginning of life, which undergirded the overturning of Roe v. Wade and moved the fight for life from the Supreme Court back to the states. Previously, Janet served as legislative director of Ohio Right to Life, where she successfully lobbied for the passage of the nation's first partial-birth abortion ban. She also worked as national director of the Center for Reclaiming America, founded by Dr. D. James Kennedy, where she initiated the "Truth in Love Campaign," featuring ex-homosexuals in newspaper and television ads. She has appeared on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, Fox and Friends, NBC's Today Show, ABC Evening News, 20/20, Nightline, and CBS This Morning.
