Dr. Tony Evans

Dr. Tony Evans is the founder and senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas. He is the founder and president of The Urban Alternative, chaplain of the NBAs Dallas Mavericks, the former chaplain of the NFLs Dallas Cowboys, and author of over 100 books, booklets and Bible studies. The first African American to earn a Doctorate of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, Dr. Evans also holds the honor of writing and publishing the first full-Bible commentary and Study Bible by an African American.His radio broadcast, The Alternative with Dr. Tony Evans, can be heard on more than 1,200 outlets in more than 130 countries. Dr. Evans was married to Lois, before her passing in 2019. He is the father of Chrystal, Priscilla, Anthony Jr., and Jonathan. He has 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
