President Biden, on his first day in office in January 2021, issued Executive Order 13988. The order, "Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation," threw the full power of the federal government behind the trans movement. Without any public debate or vote in Congress, Biden ordered every government agency to examine all of their policies, rules and regulations to align them with radical transgender demands.
The executive order specifically endorsed the "right" of biological boys to have access to girls' restrooms, locker rooms and sports teams.
In the months that followed, one government agency after another raced to promote policies that run counter to common sense and empower trans ideologies.
The Office of Personnel Management issued guidance warning that any of the three million federal employees who refuse to use required transgender pronouns, i.e. referring to a biological male as "she" or "her," could be punished for creating "an unlawful hostile work environment."
U.S. Customs and Border Protection directed its employees not to use "he, him, she, her" pronouns until more information is provided by individuals detained at the border. The Federal Bureau of Prisons is using your tax money for transgender operations for inmates, as well as putting men who claim they are women into women's prisons. Even the Agriculture Department has an internal memo directing the agency to advance the "human rights" of LGBTQ+ individuals. The list of powerful federal agencies enlisted in this trans-ideology promotion covers virtually the entire government.
Investigative reporter Mike Howell explains the likely motive of this radical plan. He writes: "The end result of these efforts, and what I expect to be the actual sinister motive, is an act of ideological segregation by the federal government. The end is not to protect other people's feelings, but to strictly enforce ideological compliance and ensure a bureaucratic workforce aligned with radical political aims … Leftists are acutely aware of the federal government's power to set standards. Workplace rules and dictates are likely to bleed down to state and local governments and corporations, as well as the wide community of federal contractors. This isn't about just remaking the administrative state, it is about transgendering America."
JDFI believes the "transgendering of America" will inevitably hurt our children and restrict the religious liberty of those who resist. This is further evidence that every Christian in America must become an active, involved citizen and "vote your faith."
