When pro-abortion politicians get control of a state government there is zero tolerance for those of us who are pro-life. A perfect example is the state of Illinois, where the legislature and governor are firmly in the grip of the abortion death cult.
The governor just signed a law aimed at closing pro-life pregnancy resource centers. The law states that any organization that provides pregnancy-related services must also provide abortions or “emergency contraception.” If they don’t do so, they are classified as violating the state’s Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. They would be prohibited from “advertising, soliciting or otherwise offering pregnancy related services.”
Pro-life groups in the state have won a temporary victory against the law. Several groups, including the Pro-Life Action League and the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, represented by the Thomas More Society, filed suit. A federal judge on August 3rd issued a preliminary injunction against enforcing the new law until the lawsuit is adjudicated.
In spite of this victory, there is a stark and dangerous message here. The pro-abortion forces aren’t really for choice. They want their pro-death message to be the only message that women hear.
