The Equality Act: Compromise Is Not An Option

With Democrats controlling the White House and Congress, what was once unthinkable is now tragically possible. And there is perhaps no bigger threat facing Americans right now than the so-called "Equality Act."

As we've shared previously, the Equality Act is a horrendous piece of legislation that will hurt women and girls, eliminate important protections for religious freedom, and advance the radical LGBTQ agenda. For good reason, people of faith and freedom-loving Americans are very concerned about this bill.

But now some Christians are proposing compromises such as "Fairness for All," a legislative proposal that would protect some churches and religious organizations but would still require most Americans to surrender their constitutionally-protected freedoms.

John Stonestreet, president of the Colson Center for Christian Worldview, explains why "Fairness for All" is not the answer:

"These attempts to preserve legislatively whatever religious freedoms we can, while well-intentioned, are, in reality, premature attempts at deal-making. Tactically unwise, such compromise solutions will almost certainly make things more difficult in the future. Rather than carving out a place for Christians in an increasingly hostile culture, this appeasement shrinks the space available to believers, both now and in the future.

"Compromise solutions wish to protect ministers and Christian institutions from being forced to comply with the government's point of view, but everyone else is left entirely unprotected. While advocates of compromise might say we should secure whatever protections we can, we ought not stand for anything short of the full dignity and full rights [that] every human possesses to hold to and live by their deeply held convictions."

Rather than compromise, Americans need to stand up and speak out in support of our constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms. Contact your representatives today and let them know that freedom is not negotiable.

Musk War on Corruption

Donald Trump’s boldness in his second term continues to astonish the country. We are particularly gratified that he is rolling back transgender ideology and has promoted multiple pro-life initiatives. Both are JDFI priorities. The most comprehensive challenge he has confronted is the massive corruption in the federal government, where millions of employees spend trillions of our tax dollars every year.

There's Hope in This New Battle

Trump’s strong message was broadcast by video. He began by saying, “Each year, Americans of every age, color, and background travel to our nation’s capital by the tens of thousands to stand up for precious little babies who cannot stand up for themselves.” He then made this clear promise: “In my second term, we will again stand proudly for families and for life.”
