South Dakota Takes A Stand For Life

Today in the United States, nearly 70% of babies with Down syndrome are aborted. Many expectant mothers who receive a Down syndrome diagnosis are pressured to have an abortion. Some are urged to do so repeatedly.

The South Dakota legislature—and Governor Kristi Noem—just did something about it. The Governor signed HB 1110, a commonsense bill that prohibits abortion based on a diagnosis of Down syndrome.

Abortion has always been a grave evil. But medical advances have made it even worse, by expanding the possibility for "designer babies." Those with any so-called defect are viewed as not just expendable, but unacceptable.

We should be ashamed. Every human life has a soul and is valuable, and that worth comes from our Creator, who knit us together in the womb.

The legislature and Governor in South Dakota deserve our support. But what about our national representatives? Conservative U.S. senators have previously introduced legislation to prohibit abortion based on Down syndrome, but their Democratic colleagues have been unwilling to support even these most basic protection of life. Are you letting your senator hear your voice? If not…you should!

Inspiration That Could Save America

There is always an October surprise in every election, and we may have just experienced it. More on that later. The presidential campaigns are deploying resources and crafting messages to clarify the choice before us. Former President Donald Trump spent half an hour as a McDonald’s employee, effectively turning it into “Donald’s” as he served Pennsylvania families burgers and fries. At a rally in the same state, steel workers gathered around him and gave him a hard hat, insisting that Trump saved the steel industry. Then Trump showed his support of the American people by attending an NFL game. The stadium erupted in chants of “USA! USA!”
