The movie tells the true life story of Tim Ballard, played by Jim Caviezel of The Passion of the Christ. Ballard left a secure government job to expose and battle the evil sexual exploitation of children. It was not an easy decision. He told CBN News that he felt God had laid it on his heart to take this bold step.
The movie is not for the faint of heart. It is not appropriate for children under 17, and even older viewers might find the content too troubling.
Critics have generally given the movie good reviews, but as its audience has grown, the Left is beginning to attack it. The Washington Post tried to undermine the film by claiming Caviezel is linked to "conspiracy theories." The left-wing Guardian called it a "screed." Rolling Stone magazine attacked those seeing the movie as "conspiracy-addled boomers."
Child sex trafficking is not a conspiracy. It is, sadly, real, and is likely increasing here in the United States, where thousands of children have been brought into the country by criminal cartels and then "lost" by the Biden administration.
JDFI hopes that millions of more people will see Sound of Freedom and that it will lead to policy actions by our elected officials. More must be done to protect God's children.
