Just weeks ago, we told you that the citizens of Lubbock overwhelmingly passed an ordinance to make abortion illegal within city limits.
Not surprisingly, Planned Parenthood has filed a lawsuit against the ordinance, seeking to preserve its culture of death. The abortion giant had just begun performing abortions at a new Lubbock facility in April of this year.
Kimberlyn Schwartz, a director at Texas Right to Life, had this to say in response to Planned Parenthood's lawsuit:
"Unsurprisingly, Planned Parenthood, which profits off the death of preborn children, is throwing a hodgepodge of complaints at the court and seeing what they can get to stick. In passing the ordinance, Lubbockites acted within their constitutional rights to self-governance and within the scope of current U.S. Supreme Court abortion jurisprudence. The ordinance language is solid and was carefully drafted in expectation of the abortion industry filing a lawsuit."
Join us in praying that the court would vote to uphold this lawful ordinance, and that the lives of innocent children would be saved as a result.
