Facebook's photo-sharing platform, Instagram, is hurting young women.
And the company is well aware of it.
In a recent report, the Wall Street Journal explains that researchers working for Instagram found that "Comparisons on Instagram can change how young women view and describe themselves." And, "Thirty-two percent of teen girls said that when they felt bad about their bodies, Instagram made them feel worse."
Are your children or grandchildren on Instagram? Are they believing what the world tells them about self-worth? Or are they believing God's Word?
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
Psalm 139:13-16
Remind the young people in your life that their value comes from the One who made them, and He loves them so much that He sacrificed His life so they might truly live.
