Inspiration That Could Save America

Inspiration That Could Save America
1:57

There is always an October surprise in every election, and we may have just experienced it. More on that later.

The presidential campaigns are deploying resources and crafting messages to clarify the choice before us. Former President Donald Trump spent half an hour as a McDonald’s employee, effectively turning it into “Donald’s” as he served Pennsylvania families burgers and fries. At a rally in the same state, steel workers gathered around him and gave him a hard hat, insisting that Trump saved the steel industry. Then Trump showed his support of the American people by attending an NFL game. The stadium erupted in chants of “USA! USA!”

Vice President Kamala Harris rallied in Detroit with pop star Lizzo, who mocked voters not supporting Harris, calling them “hoes,” a slang term for prostitutes. Harris continues to promote transgender ideology, telling a reporter that “every background and gender” attends her rallies, implying her support of the idea that there are more than the two genders God created—male and female.

In September, Harris’s campaign spent $270 million on ads compared to $78 million spent by Trump’s campaign. Virtually all of Harris’s ads were about abortion, which brings me to the October surprise.

At a recent Harris-Walz Wisconsin rally, Harris bragged about her devotion to abortion. Suddenly, two college students shouted, “Christ is King!” Harris laughed and said, “You’re at the wrong rally.” The crowd roared in approval of her insult of Christians.

At a Trump-Vance Wisconsin rally days later, someone yelled, “Jesus is King!” In contrast to Harris, Senator J.D. Vance replied, “That’s right. Jesus is King.”

Religious liberty, the sanctity of life, and freedom of speech are at stake. Christians must vote.

The students who yelled their praise for Jesus may have provided the inspiration that could save America from neo-Marxist secularism.

Happy Christmas!

A significant exchange of words occurred a few days ago between First Lady Jill Biden and a young American child. Children were at the White House on the occasion of the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots campaign. Mrs. Biden greeted the children with a shout of “Happy Holidays!” One courageous child loudly responded, “Happy Christmas!”

Seven Critical Issues

JDFI made a substantial commitment this year to help ensure Christians had the information they needed on each of these issues so they could be discerning, educated voters. We also wanted to increase the number of Christ-followers who voted. We have been deeply troubled that Christian involvement in elections has lagged behind the participation rates of other demographic groups.
