Abrams, who is not a doctor nor trained in biology, recently claimed, "There is no such thing as a heartbeat at six weeks." Then she went on and promoted a wild, unhinged conspiracy theory. She said, "It [the heartbeat] is a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have the right to take control of a woman's body."
The alleged conspiracy Abrams is promoting would involve thousands of medical personnel as well as sonogram manufacturers. It is absurd on its face. But that won't stop the pro-abortion movement from spreading it so that more innocent babies will be destroyed in the womb.
The best antidote for this type of disinformation is the truth.
Dr. Tara Sander Lee, who studied heart development at Harvard Medical School and serves as director of the Life Sciences at Charlotte Lozier Institute, responded to Stacey Abrams' unscientific claim.
She stated, "A baby's heart is actively beating at six weeks gestation and will have already beat nearly 16 million times by 15 weeks. In fact, at six weeks, when Stacey Abrams says a heartbeat doesn't exist, the baby's heart is actually beating at about 110 beats per minute (bpm)."
It is clear that Stacey Abrams is guilty of spreading lies in the hope that more babies will be aborted.
Come on Ms. Abrams — have a heart and quit lying about life in the womb.
