Dr. James Dobson has joined with other Evangelical leaders to urge Congress to stand with Israel.
In a letter released to Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, the evangelical notables urged Congress to act "without delay" on a comprehensive list of initiatives.
Those initiatives included prioritizing legislation to "help fund Israel's defenses as soon as possible," as well as combating the growing anti-Semitism sweeping across America.
The signers also called for passage of the "No Funds for Iranian Terrorism Act" to permanently freeze the $6 billion released to Iran as part of the Biden administration's 2023 hostage deal.
The religious leaders reminded Congress that "the majority of Americans continue to stand by their Jewish brothers and sisters in the United States and in the Jewish homeland of Israel."
In addition to Dr. James Dobson, other signers included Ralph Reed, chairman of the Faith & Freedom Coalition; Robert Jeffress, senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas; Jonathan Falwell, chancellor of Liberty University; John Hagee, CEO and pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio; Richard Land, executive editor of The Christian Post; Gordon Robertson, CEO and president of The Christian Broadcasting Network; and James Robison, founder and president of LIFE Outreach International.
