Dr. James Dobson Applauds the Elimination of a Mandatory Draft for Women

Your voice matters! In September, I shared with you the despicable news that certain members of Congress were seeking to force women to register for the U.S. military draft. I said it then, and I'll say it again now: such abhorrent legislation—tucked away in the corners of a defense policy bill—defies common sense. Any ideology that requires women to step onto the front lines and fight our wars is shameful.

I'm pleased to report today that your representatives heard your voice. Leadership in both the House and Senate Armed Services Committees drafted a revised version of the bill, eliminating the requirement that women register for the selective service. This improved legislation has already passed overwhelmingly in the House and will now be considered by the Senate.

Please contact your senators today and tell them to protect our daughters and vote "YES" on the National Defense Authorization Act.
