The official is Rachel Levine, who serves in the Biden administration as an assistant secretary in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Levine was born a biological male and fathered two children. He now insists he is a "transwoman."
In the video, Levine uses his powerful position at HHS to urge others in the medical community to help shut down the growing criticism of radical surgeries and chemical treatment being performed on confused children.
Levine makes this false claim in the video: "The positive value of gender-affirming care for youth and adults is not in scientific or medical dispute." That is simply a lie as Assistant Secretary Levine must surely know. The American people are increasingly concerned about subjecting children to permanent, life-changing "treatments" in the name of "gender-affirming care." Around the world, other nations that previously embraced these treatments, such as the United Kingdom, France and Sweden, are now rethinking and pulling back.
But not Levine! He wants to use his government power to shut down debate. In the video he insists, "So we all need to work together to get our voices out in the front line. We need to get our voices in the public eye. And we can … we know how effective our medical community can be talking to communities, whether it's at townhalls, schools, conversations with others… and we need to use our clinician's voice to collectively advocate for tech companies to create a healthier, cleaner information environment…" That means he wants debate ended.
The new House majority that will be sworn into office in January 2023 has already promised oversight hearings concerning disclosures that elements in the FBI pressured Twitter and other social media platforms to censor information related to COVID, as well as other topics.
Congress will now need to investigate whether powerful individuals in HHS, including Levine, are also attempting to shut down open debate about medical treatments that may harm countless children.
