Abortion Case Heads to the Supreme Court

The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to take its first abortion case since becoming a 6-3 conservative majority, and pro-life individuals across the country are watching closely.

At issue is a procedural question, but one with important implications. The Court will be asked to rule on who has the power to defend state abortion restrictions in court. The case arose after the Democratic Governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, refused to defend a law that banned dilation and evacuation abortions, a horrific procedure used to tear apart an unborn child and remove him or her piece by piece from a mother's womb. Following his heartless refusal to stand in defense of life, the Kentucky Attorney General, Republican Daniel Cameron, sought the court's permission to defend the law. The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals refused Cameron's request, and the Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case.

As reported in Politico, if the Court rules to allow more state officials to defend abortion laws, it could lead to more precious lives being saved from the horror of abortion.

Oral arguments will likely take place later this year. Please pray for the attorneys arguing the case, and that the justices would rule in favor of Attorney General Cameron. Lives, quite literally, depend on it.

Inspiration That Could Save America

There is always an October surprise in every election, and we may have just experienced it. More on that later. The presidential campaigns are deploying resources and crafting messages to clarify the choice before us. Former President Donald Trump spent half an hour as a McDonald’s employee, effectively turning it into “Donald’s” as he served Pennsylvania families burgers and fries. At a rally in the same state, steel workers gathered around him and gave him a hard hat, insisting that Trump saved the steel industry. Then Trump showed his support of the American people by attending an NFL game. The stadium erupted in chants of “USA! USA!”
