A Home Run For Jesus!

The champion University of Oklahoma Women's softball team just held an extraordinary press conference that predictably did not receive much news coverage.

These impressive young female athletes didn't express hatred for America and they didn't kneel during the national anthem. They simply used the media opportunity to beautifully express their faith and love for Jesus Christ.

When a reporter asked infielder Grace Lyons how the players seem to remain happy even when they are struggling on the field, she responded, "Thankfully, we've had plenty of success this year. But if it was the other way around, joy from the Lord is the only thing that can keep you embracing those memories…"

Another player, Jayda Coleman, told reporters how she felt when they won the championship her freshman year. She said she was "so happy," but she "didn't feel joy," adding, "I didn't know what to do the next day. . . I didn't feel fulfilled, and I had to find Christ in that."

Coleman explained that while they trained hard to win, when they lose "it's not the end of the world because our life is in Christ, and that's all that matters."

You can watch their encouraging remarks here.

Happy Christmas!

A significant exchange of words occurred a few days ago between First Lady Jill Biden and a young American child. Children were at the White House on the occasion of the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots campaign. Mrs. Biden greeted the children with a shout of “Happy Holidays!” One courageous child loudly responded, “Happy Christmas!”
