Roy Stringfellow, MD, is a Board Certified obstetrician/gynecologist, a Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN, and also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has been in private practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado since 1978. He also serves as an associate clinical professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Dr. Stringfellow is a member of numerous professional and honorary societies and has served as an officer and as a board member for several. He currently serves on the Physicians Resource Council at Focus on the Family and is a medical advisor to Dr. Dobson. Roy has been happily married to Carolyn Stringfellow for 34 years and they have two grown children who are serving the Lord in their respective careers. Their son, Clint is a film editor in Los Angeles, and daughter Caroline is a recent medical school graduate who is currently conducting research at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya alongside her husband, Jeremy; both are Harvard Fellows. Next year Caroline will start her OB-GYN residency in Colorado and Jeremy will finish the last two years of his general surgery residency. They are the parents of the Stringfellow’s first grandchild, one-year-old Clara.
Roy and Carolyn have been Christians since childhood and attend Fellowship Bible Church in Colorado Springs where Roy has served as Chairman of the Missions Committee and as an Elder Advisor. Roy’s interests include spending time with his family, being a grandfather, traveling, short-term mission trips, and photography, with a special affinity for hunting and fishing in exotic places with beloved friends and family.
