Did you know there are different types of skeptics? And if you know, do you know how to engage them accordingly? Dr. Alex McFarland has written another book to help believers understand how to answer 40 common questions and 20 more in depth questions that many skeptics have. We are reminded of the importance of prayer and relationship when reaching out to others with the Truth. Don't miss out on day three of this convicting interview.

Alex McFarland has been in full-time ministry since 1989 and was most recently the president of Southern Evangelical Seminary in North Carolina. He is now speaking around the country, releasing three new books by 2012 and is the co-host of “Explore The Word” on American Family Radio Network and hosted Sound Reason on AFR for the past year and a half. As a Christian apologist (one who explains and rationally defends faith), he has spent over two decades training teens in biblical worldview.  A good portion of that time was spent working with Focus on the Family ministering to teens.

Through his Stand Weekends , Alex has assembled the world’s premiere Christian apologists with a goal of introducing new audiences to the truths of Christianity. The annual National Conference on Apologetics, which is sponsored by the Southern Evangelical Seminary, brings many of the world’s most famous and sought-after Christian leaders together to address over 5,000 attendees.  Speakers this year will include Kay Arthur,  Chuck Colson, Hank Hanegraaff, Dr. David Noebel, Dinesh D'Souza, Os Guinness and many others.

Alex McFarland attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and earned a Master’s degree in Christian Thought / Apologetics from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA.  He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree by Southern Evangelical Seminary in May, 2006, awarded, "In recognition of significant accomplishments in the fields of evangelism and apologetics." In 2009, Alex became a participant in Developing Young Leaders In Higher Education, a "by invitation only" study program at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Alex and his family currently live on a NC farm that has been in the McFarland family for several generations.  His calling and passion is to promote spiritual awakening in America, and when not traveling and speaking Alex spends as much time there as possible.
