Orphans & Adoption Abroad
Guest: Tami Snowden
There are more kids that can be counted around the world that are without parents or a loving adult to care for them. Recently Christians seem to have accepted the call to give these children a safe and loving home in which to grow. Is the Lord laying on your heart to open your home to one or more of these precious children? Ryan and Toben interview Tami Snowden regarding her work with orphans and her personal adoption experience.
Tami Snowden is an advocate for children-at-risk with PIONEERS and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church’s mission organization-World Outreach. Tami’s role is twofold. She advocates for children at risk among the US church to raise awareness for the desperate needs of children throughout the world. She is a resource for the church, and works to mobilize the church to action to care for the ‘least of these.’
Tami co-authored the family curriculum, Red Card which engages kids and their parents to help care for children at risk. Tami is also a resource and consultant for the many PIONEERS and World Outreach teams throughout the world. Tami’s goal is to impassion, equip and ignite the body of Christ to respond to the needs of children that surround them. She bases her ministry on Proverbs 31:8, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.”
Tami and her 9 year-old daughter Tabi live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
