Have you ever heard the amazing story of Katie Davis? The girl who at 18-years-old, left the United States for a mission trip to Uganda and ended up dedicating her life to reaching orphans. On the next edition of Family Talk, cohost Dr. Meg Meeker interviews Katie about her 13 adopted girls, and the non-profit organization she runs to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the people in Uganda who need it most.
In December of 2006, 18-year-old Katie Davis from Brentwood, Tennessee, traveled to Uganda for the first time. She was immediately captivated with the people and the culture. Katie, over the last 7 years, has started a child sponsorship program, a feeding program, and a women’s vocational program. In 2008, Katie established a 5019(c)3 non-profit organization called Amazima Ministries International. Now she is the mother of 13 adopted daughters.
